Aim and main purpose of the job and why work with us?

To teach, enthuse and inspire students about Maths with responsibility and leadership in Key Stage 5.

We are seeking an outstanding and ambitious Mathematics specialist to take strategic responsibility for Key Stage 5 within our successful and forward-thinking faculty.

This role would suit an experienced KS5 teacher — or an emerging leader — who is passionate about academic excellence, curriculum design and developing a culture of high aspiration in Mathematics.

Our most recent successes in KS5:

· 24% A* (vs. 16% National Average)

· 86% A*-C (vs. 78% National Average)

· Further Mathematics is a popular A Level with Applied Modules being available for teaching.

The successful candidate will:

· Lead and further develop our KS5 Mathematics provision with the Head of Faculty

· Teach A Level Mathematics courses to a high standard

· Drive outstanding outcomes and value-added progress at KS5

· Oversee curriculum planning, assessment strategy and intervention at post-16

· Support and coach colleagues teaching within the Sixth Form

· Promote Mathematics as a prestigious and ambitious pathway, including supporting applications to competitive universities and courses
