Information

Since its foundation in 1931 as Hemel Hempstead Grammar, the school has received local and national recognition for all-round excellence. We became comprehensive in 1970 and combine traditional strengths with a modern curriculum to prepare students for a rapidly changing world.

There are 1250 boys and girls aged 11-18, including 250 in the Sixth Form, drawn from many parts of the town, although predominantly from the area immediately surrounding the school.

Our parents are extremely supportive and keen to see their children do well. We are well known for our high academic standards and excellent examination results.

The buildings are constantly under development to ensure an environment fit for learning. Redevelopment has taken place over the last five years. We have clear plans for future development to meet the demands of the curriculum.
