Today we celebrated student achievement by awarding a number of our students with R4s and Headteacher’s Certificates. Our students have excelled in national and international sporting events, raised money for charity, achieved success in the 2025 Linguistics Olympiad, and demonstrated hard work and resilience in their exam preparation. A huge congratulations and well done from everyone at The Hemel Hempstead School to @jimkingruns, who this weekend completed his 2nd marathon in 7 days, in memory of his son Ethan. Leg 1 (Boston) was completed in 2.47 hours and leg 2 (London) in 2.54! An incredible effort and we know Ethan would have been with you every step of the way. The current total raised for Ewings Sarcoma Research is £51.4k plus gift aid. Jim is the number 1 individual fundraiser for the London Marathon on the official charity platform which is amazing! It is Year 13's last day. As is tradition they like to play some harmless pranks and have a little fun. Many chose to wear their old school uniform - badly! So if you see it students looking scruffy, or even in the pub, please do not think the school had gone to ruin!
