Another heatwave is forecast so: From Thursday 10th July students in Years 7-10 can again choose to wear PE kit to school and students in Year 12 can choose to wear relaxed Sixth Form Dress. You’ll be aware that we also have character week next week, so therefore to (hopefully!) make things as easy as possible to understand: Thursday 10th, Friday 11th & Monday 14th July - PE kit/relaxed sixth form dress. Tuesday 15th, Wednesday 16th, Thursday 17th July - students must dress appropriately for Character Week (information for each activity/event has already been shared). Friday 18th July - normal school uniform or PE kit/relaxed sixth form dress. We hope you recognise that our intention isn’t to keep changing the expectations for uniform but that we are being reflective and considering what is appropriate to ensure our students (and staff) are comfortable so that there is no disruption of learning and standards remain high. We hope that we have followed a ‘common sense’ approach. Please remember that students must ensure the following: Students in Year 7-10 If a student chooses to wear PE kit, it must be full school PE kit. This means: HHS PE top. HHS PE shorts/skort/leggings. (Tracksuit bottoms/joggers, cycling shorts or short ‘gym’ shorts are not allowed). Socks and trainers (students cannot wear flip flops, sliders, crocs or sandals). Students cannot wear their own sports clothing that isn't HHS PE kit). If a student chooses not to wear PE kit, they must wear school uniform. White school shirt (shirts must be tucked in). Black/Charcoal school trousers or a pleated navy blue school skirt. Black school shoes (not trainers). Students can choose to remove their blazers, ties and undo the top bottom. Sixth Form Students Sixth Form students (including Year 11 students who are attending Year 12 Taster Days) can choose to follow a relaxed version of our Sixth Form Dress Code. Dress should be 'smart/casual'. No denim. No sports clothing. Students can wear trainers (students cannot wear flip flops, sliders, crocs or sandals). Students do not need to wear a jacket or a tie. No backless tops/midriffs

It is Ms Barden's last summer concert, and she is going out in style. Esenwalds hauntingly beautiful 'Stars', done properly with voices and, yes, wine glasses!

Hot and humid weather. From tomorrow (Friday 27th) until the end of next week students can wear HHS PE kit. This is not non-uniform! HHS PE shirt, HHS PE shorts/skirts/leggings. Socks and proper trainers. NOT any other 'sports kit', own clothes or footwear. OR, uniform with tie and blazer removed.

Last week our eco committee met with Melanie Parr, advisor at Let’s Go Zero to make plans on how to improve our school and wider environment. Students showed knowledge and passion for the climate and nature on a community level. #thinkglobalactlocal #aspire #inspire #reducereuserecycle
