Welcome to your 60-second update! We start with some good advice on staying warm in PE over the winter months, and a look forward to how you could be doing your PE in sunny Spain next year! Next Friday we are raising money for the Ethan King Fund by wearing funky ties or socks alongside our normal school uniform. Scan the QR to donate. iPads have allowed Year 8 to take a virtual lesson, to the Amazon Fulfilment Centre without leaving the classroom. Watch this space, this will be a feature of many lessons in the future as we invest in VR. Christmas Dinner is not far away so don't forget to get your ticket on Parent Pay. Both year 7 netball teams won this week against Longdean, Year 9 football took their fourth win of the season against Tring, Year 9 basketball played a very tense draw with Longdean and 8 Ashridge have created some explosive work on the Gunpowder Plot. Year 10 foof have mastered the art of pasta, year 7 football crashed out of the county cup against Katherine Warrington, and Year 11 historians have exemplified in their approach to their trial exam revision. Year 9 football narrowly lost to Adeyfield, Year 10 football braved the rain against Astley Cooper and Year 10 rugby took on Tring. Next week is Gold week and remember that the school is closed to everyone on Friday. Your newsletter is in your inbox and on the website. Happy Friday, everyone! #EsseQuamVidri #TheHHEx

Welcome to your sixty-second update! Look out for emails about those all important winter vaccinations; meanwhile we congratulate Lucas on his prestigeous Chief Scout Gold Award. Due to the building works there will be fewer bike racks at Anchor Lane, but this is only temporary to allow West Block to be demolished. Year 8 football had a close match with Astley Cooper, Year 7 netball won against JFK and Year 7 basketball drew against Longdean. Emily's wonderful winter scene is our art work of the month, and year 13 students have been developing their oracy by 'being the teacher'. Year 11 football beat Reach Free, Senior netball took on Tring and Year 11 netball took on JFK. The Hemel Hempstead School beat Ashlyns to become district under 16 table tennis champions, Year 8 football took on Tring, and Year 7 netball had their setting tournament. When we come back, on Monday 3rd November, it will be blue week. Have a great half term holiday everyone.
